Profile: Charis is a faith-based community development ministry founded by Bob Lupton in 1980, to break the isolation of the economically poor by creating wholesome, viable, sustainable mixed-income communities.  While some CD organizations work metro-wide, Charis operates as a neighborhood-based ministry.
